Neil Robertson picks his three greatest snooker players of all time.

Neil Robertson has named his top three snooker players ever, placing Ronnie O’Sullivan first, John Higgins second, and Mark Selby third.

The Australian made the comments as he faced Higgins in the quarter-finals of the World Snooker Championship at the Crucible. Robertson edged ahead 5–3 after a hard-fought opening session but remained cautious, given the high regard he has for Higgins, a four-time world champion still competing at an elite level into his 50s.

No. 3 Mark Selby

When asked about Higgins’ standing in the sport, Robertson said he is unquestionably among the top three players in history, ranking him just behind O’Sullivan. He added Selby as the third name on his list.

No. 2 John Higgins

While legends like Stephen Hendry are often included in such debates, Robertson’s view aligns with Steve Davis, who also rates Selby among the all-time greats, praising his consistency and relentless standard of play.

No. 1 Ronnie O’Sullivan

Looking ahead to the rest of the match, Robertson noted that past head-to-head results would have little influence, emphasizing that the contest would come down to who can control the game and impose their style.
