Arsenal have confirmed the permanent signing of highly rated Danish goalkeeper Isabella Damm from Brøndby IF, adding another promising young talent to their squad.
The 18-year-old arrives after spending time on trial with the Gunners last season, where she impressed the club’s coaching staff. A regular in Denmark’s youth national teams at under-17 and under-19 level, Damm developed through Brøndby’s academy after joining in 2021 and made her senior debut for the club in October 2025.
Expressing her excitement after completing the move, Damm said she was proud to join Arsenal and looked forward to continuing her development in an environment she already knew well. She also said she hoped to contribute to the club’s future success.
Damm will wear the No. 40 shirt and joins a goalkeeping group that includes Daphne van Domselaar and Anneke Borbe.
Arsenal manager Renée Slegers described the teenager as an exciting goalkeeper with strong technical qualities, composure and courage, adding that the club believes she has significant potential and will receive the support needed to continue her progress.
Director of women’s football Clare Wheatley echoed that confidence, revealing Arsenal had tracked Damm for some time and consider her among the top young goalkeepers in Europe for her age group. She said the club was delighted to secure her signature and looked forward to helping her develop.
