Jacksonville blues-rock outfit Tedeschi Trucks Band have revealed details of their sixth studio album, Future Soul. The record, which follows 2022’s expansive four-disc project I Am The Moon, will arrive on March 20 via Fantasy Records. It is led by the album’s first single, “I Got You.
Derek Trucks describes the track as a creative shift for the group, calling it “a breath of fresh air.” While it still sounds unmistakably like the band, he notes that it breaks new ground compared to their previous work.
In addition to the album announcement, the band has unveiled a major North American tour that will follow their previously announced Beacon Theatre residency in New York. The new leg kicks off April 14 in Dallas and runs through late October, concluding with a four-night stand in Chicago.
The tour features a variety of configurations, including co-headlining dates with Alabama Shakes and Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, two Bridgeport, Connecticut shows with special guest Sheryl Crow, and support from Lukas Nelson, J. Grey & Mofro, and Molly Tuttle on select dates.
Tickets for Swamp Family Fan Club members go on sale Tuesday, January 27, at 10 a.m. local time. Promoter and local presales begin the following day, with general on-sale set for Friday, January 30, at 10 a.m. local time.
