The 2026 Tour de Suisse will run from June 17 to June 21 in a shortened format, with the race reduced from eight stages to just five days. As the final WorldTour stage race before the Tour de France, it once again boasts a strong field led by Tadej Pogačar.
Pogačar tops the start list as he looks to claim his first overall victory in one of cycling’s seven major WorldTour stage races before defending his Tour de France crown. He is joined at UAE Team Emirates-XRG by Brandon McNulty and Jhonatan Narváez.
Other notable contenders include Tobias Lund Andresen for Decathlon CMA CGM Team; Axel Laurance and Magnus Sheffield for Netcompany INEOS; and Bahrain Victorious leaders Lenny Martínez and Antonio Tiberi. Rising Portuguese talent Afonso Eulálio is also part of Bahrain’s squad.
Lidl-Trek welcomes back Thibau Nys, while Alpecin–Premier Tech is spearheaded by Mathieu van der Poel, with sprint star Kaden Groves also in the lineup despite the demanding course.
Elsewhere, Team Jayco AlUla is led by Mauro Schmid, Red Bull–BORA–hansgrohe by Primož Roglič, and EF Education-EasyPost by Richard Carapaz. Lotto–Intermarché features young prospect Jarno Widar, while Team Visma | Lease a Bike brings Matthew Brennan. Soudal–Quick-Step relies on Ilan Van Wilder and Mikel Landa, while Groupama–FDJ is represented by Romain Grégoire. Movistar arrives with a strong trio of Nairo Quintana, Enric Mas and Orluis Aular.
The organizers have also awarded wildcard invitations to Switzerland’s ProTeams. Tudor Pro Cycling fields both Marc Hirschi and Julian Alaphilippe. However, Tom Pidcock of Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team, who had been targeting a podium finish, will miss the race. A Swiss national team will also take part in the event.
