Free agent Sophie Cunningham has agreed to a one-year contract to remain with the Indiana Fever, the team confirmed on Sunday.
She joins fellow guards Kelsey Mitchell and Lexie Hull as returning free agents after helping the Fever reach the semifinals last season.
Indiana, which already has rising stars Aliyah Boston and Caitlin Clark under contract, also strengthened its roster in free agency by bringing in Monique Billings and Ty Harris.
Last season, Cunningham averaged 8.6 points and 3.5 rebounds while shooting better than 43% from three-point range across 30 games. Her campaign was cut short in August due to a season-ending MCL injury in her right knee.
The 6-foot-1 guard began her WNBA career with the Phoenix Mercury, where she spent six seasons before being traded to Indiana in a four-team deal ahead of the 2025 season. She was originally selected in the second round of the 2019 draft following an impressive college career at the University of Missouri.
