Neil Robertson, Zhao Xintong and John Higgins advance to Tour Championship semi-finals.

Neil Robertson produced a strong finish to defeat Barry Hawkins 10-8 and book his place in the semi-finals of the Tour Championship in Manchester.

Hawkins resumed Thursday’s session trailing 5-3 but surged ahead by claiming four consecutive frames, compiling breaks of 98 and 58 along the way. Robertson, however, responded with resilience, taking five of the next six frames. He crafted two breaks of 75 before sealing victory with a half-century, setting up a semi-final clash with world number one Judd Trump.

Meanwhile, reigning world champion Zhao Xintong secured a commanding 10-4 win over Chris Wakelin. Holding a 5-3 advantage overnight, Zhao extended his lead in dominant fashion, highlighted by a 134 break in the 11th frame followed by two more century contributions.

On the other table, John Higgins edged past Mark Selby 10-8 in a tightly contested encounter. Selby overturned a 5-3 deficit by winning five frames in a row, producing breaks of 127 and 131. Higgins, though, regained control with a series of five half-century breaks to clinch victory and set up a semi-final meeting with Zhao.
