PRINCETON, N.J. – Wrapping up a remarkable season, the Princeton women’s track and field program is sending three athletes to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Oregon, from June 11–14. Mena Scatchard will compete in the 1500 meters, Shea Greene will represent Princeton in the javelin, and Georgina Scoot will take part in both the long jump and triple jump.

All three athletes were instrumental in helping Princeton secure its third-ever Triple Crown this year, earning team titles in cross country, indoor, and outdoor track and field.

Scatchard, the 2025 NCAA indoor mile runner-up, will make her third national appearance of the academic year, having also qualified for the cross country and indoor championships. The Ivy League champion in the 1500m, she advanced to nationals by placing second in her quarterfinal heat, clocking a school-record time of 4:08.34 breaking her own previous Princeton best of 4:11.10 from 2024. In total, she now owns seven Princeton records, including this season’s marks in the 800m and 5000m.

Greene, making her second appearance at the NCAA outdoor meet, broke her own Ivy League javelin record at regionals with a throw of 56.91m (186 feet, 8 inches). This achievement followed her Ivy League title and record-setting performance at Outdoor Heps.

Scoot is also returning to Eugene after qualifying for both the long jump and triple jump. She secured her NCAA spots with a sixth-place leap of 6.32m (20 feet, 9 inches) in the long jump and an eighth-place triple jump of 13.04m (42 feet, 9½ inches) at regionals. At Outdoor Heps, she won titles in both events and broke meet records in each. Her dominant showing earned her the Most Outstanding Field Performer honor, and she was later recognized as USTFCCCA National Athlete of the Week on May 12.

The Tigers are led by Michelle Eisenreich, now in her ninth year as head coach. This year’s Triple Crown was Princeton’s first since 2011 and the first under Eisenreich, highlighted by a record-breaking team score at the Outdoor Heps.
