Wings’ Paige Bueckers goes ‘business casual’ in UConn homecoming fit vs. Sun…

It was more than a normal road game for the WNBA’s No. 1 pick and she delivered both on and off the court for Dallas.

Paige Bueckers’ return to Connecticut on Tuesday night couldn’t have gone more smoothly. Even her pregame outfit was on point as she stepped back into the state where she became a college basketball star with the UConn Huskies.

From 2020 to 2025, the Minnesota native called Connecticut home and helped deliver UConn’s first national title since 2016. After her collegiate success, she was selected No. 1 overall by the Dallas Wings. The transition to the WNBA had been rocky, with the Wings entering Tuesday’s game against the Connecticut Sun winless at 0-4. But perhaps all Bueckers needed was a familiar setting—Dallas secured its first victory of the season with a 109-87 win, and Bueckers had a breakout performance, scoring 21 points on 8-of-10 shooting, along with 7 assists, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals.

She was a winner even before tip-off, drawing a loud and warm welcome from the Connecticut crowd. She also turned heads with her sleek “business casual” look in the pregame tunnel at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville. It was a memorable night for the 23-year-old.

Congratulations to Bueckers on her first WNBA win doing it in front of the Connecticut faithful made it all the more special.
