Wings’ Bueckers in concussion protocol, out at least 2 games.

Just weeks after guiding UConn to a national title, rookie sensation Paige Bueckers will be sidelined for the Dallas Wings due to a concussion. The team confirmed Friday that Bueckers has entered concussion protocol following Thursday’s defeat to the Chicago Sky and will miss at least the next two games. She’ll be reevaluated after Tuesday’s contest against the Seattle Storm.

Bueckers, who was selected first overall in the 2025 WNBA Draft, has quickly become a key contributor, posting averages of 14.7 points, 6.7 assists, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.0 steals across six games. Her 33.9 minutes per game are the most on the team.

Despite their struggles this season (1-5), the Wings will look to build momentum without their star guard, starting with a Saturday rematch against the Sky and a Tuesday road game in Seattle. They’ll return home to play the Sparks next Friday.
