Wout van Aert Gears Up for Tour of Flanders with Special Preparation and Kit

With the Tour of Flanders still a month away, preparations are in full swing for one of the biggest races of the cycling season. Wout van Aert, one of the key contenders, has already traveled to Tenerife for altitude training as he fine-tunes his form ahead of his major spring goal. Meanwhile, his team, Visma | Lease a Bike, is also busy behind the scenes, preparing something special for the prestigious race.

On Wednesday, the team released a teaser hinting at a unique jersey for Van Aert and his teammates at the Tour of Flanders. “Something special is coming up,” they wrote on social media, alongside a video of Van Aert trying on what appears to be a new race kit. While details remain under wraps, fans can expect an official reveal soon.

Last year, Van Aert was forced to miss the Tour of Flanders after crashing in Dwars door Vlaanderen, a setback that dashed his hopes of competing for victory. This season, he is determined to make his mark. The Belgian star kicked off his campaign during Opening Weekend and will return to action at the E3 Saxo Classic after three weeks of intense training.

At the E3 Saxo Classic, Van Aert will go head-to-head with two of his biggest rivals Mathieu van der Poel, fresh off his win at Le Samyn, and Tadej Pogacar. The trio will clash again one week later at the Tour of Flanders, where Van Aert will be hoping to showcase his best form perhaps in a striking new jersey that will add even more excitement to the highly anticipated showdown.
