UConn women’s basketball recruiting class: Who will be joining the NCAA champions next season?

UConn women’s basketball is set to welcome an impressive recruiting class for the 2024-2025 season, bolstering the roster of the NCAA champions. The incoming class includes a mix of highly-ranked recruits and promising young talent that will strengthen the Huskies as they aim for another championship run.

Leading the way is Aaliyah Edwards, a standout forward who is regarded as one of the top prospects in the nation. Edwards brings both physicality and finesse to the post, capable of impacting the game on both ends of the floor. Her athleticism and versatility will complement the existing UConn roster, especially after the departure of key players.

Joining Edwards is Grace Forbes, a dynamic guard known for her scoring ability and court vision. Forbes excels at creating plays for herself and her teammates, with a knack for hitting clutch shots in critical moments. Her addition will provide depth to the Huskies’ backcourt, offering another weapon for head coach Geno Auriemma.

UConn also welcomes Maya Dodson, a guard/forward combo player who can make an immediate impact. Dodson is a versatile and athletic prospect who is capable of playing multiple positions, adding flexibility to the Huskies’ rotations.

The class also includes Lauren Park-Lane, a highly skilled point guard who brings speed, leadership, and defensive tenacity to the team. Her ability to distribute the ball and push the tempo will be key as UConn looks to maintain its fast-paced offensive style.

With this incoming class, UConn has positioned itself for continued success. The combination of seasoned veterans and promising new talent ensures that the Huskies will remain a dominant force in women’s college basketball next season.
