Three UConn legends Napheesa Collier, Breanna Stewart, and rookie sensation Paige Bueckers are set to unite as teammates for the first time in the WNBA during the 2025 All-Star Game on July 19 in Indianapolis. They’ll represent Team Collier, which will square off against Team Clark, captained by Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark. The All-Star rosters were picked live on ESPN during Tuesday night’s draft, held ahead of the Liberty-Aces game.

This year marks Collier’s fifth All-Star nod and Stewart’s seventh, while Bueckers, just months into her pro career with the Dallas Wings, is the only rookie among the starters. Former Husky Gabby Williams was also selected as a reserve her first All-Star appearance.
Clark and Collier earned the most fan votes and were named captains. In a back-and-forth draft, Clark took teammate Aliyah Boston as her first pick. Collier responded by selecting her Unrivaled co-founder and fellow UConn alum Stewart. Bueckers was the final starter picked and affectionately referred to by Collier as “my baby Husky.”
After the player draft, the captains swapped head coaches instead of players Minnesota’s Cheryl Reeve will coach Team Collier, and New York’s Sandy Brondello will coach Team Clark.
The 2025 All-Star Weekend will also feature a skills challenge and 3-point contest on July 18. Participants for those events are yet to be announced.
