Before stepping back into the start gate for Giant Slalom, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to my teammates. Their unwavering support has helped me process the realness and validity of the psychological challenges that come with this return. They have shown me that moving forward beyond just the passage of time requires persistence, patience, and the willingness to keep trying.
A special thanks to my team for their dedication, hard work, and belief that we can tackle this challenge together. Their patience and determination have been invaluable throughout this journey, reminding me that I am not alone in this process.
I won’t pretend that I feel entirely like myself yet. This return comes with its own uncertainties and emotions, and I’m still navigating them one step at a time. But what I do know is that I feel enough of myself to be here, to push forward, and to embrace the moment as it comes. And for now, that is enough.
This experience has reminded me that progress isn’t always linear, and healing doesn’t come with a set timeline. It is a process one that requires trust, courage, and the support of those who believe in you. To my teammates, my team, and everyone who has stood by me, thank you. Your encouragement means everything, and I’m grateful to share this journey with you.
Now, it’s time to take this next step one turn, one run, one race at a time.
