
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Feb. 27, 2025) – Four-time Monster Energy AMA Supercross champion Ryan Dungey has been announced as the Grand Marshal for this year’s DAYTONA Supercross, Daytona International Speedway confirmed. Dungey, who won the 450SX DAYTONA Supercross Main Event in 2015, will help kick off the event’s 55th edition.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Ryan Dungey back to Daytona as Grand Marshal,” said Frank Kelleher, President of Daytona International Speedway. “His remarkable career and legacy in Supercross, including his memorable 2015 win here, make him the perfect choice for this milestone event. His passion for the sport continues to inspire riders and fans, and we know he’ll bring great energy this Saturday.”
Dungey, a dominant force in Supercross and Pro Motocross, ranks fifth on the all-time wins list with 90 career victories across both disciplines. He is second in all-time 450 Pro Motocross wins (39), behind Ricky Carmichael, and holds seventh place in all-time 450 Supercross wins (34). Additionally, he holds the record for the most consecutive Supercross podium finishes at 31.
Expressing his excitement, Dungey said, “I’m really honored to be the 2025 Daytona Supercross Grand Marshal. Daytona was always one of my favorite races with its unique track design and challenging conditions. I’m looking forward to watching some incredible racing this year.”
Throughout his career, Dungey has won seven Premier Class AMA championships and triumphed three times at the prestigious Motocross des Nations. He is also a two-time ESPY award winner for Best Male Action Sports Athlete (2015, 2016) and was the first motocross rider featured on the iconic Wheaties cereal box.
The 55th annual DAYTONA Supercross will take place on March 1, 2025, under the lights at Daytona International Speedway. The event is part of the 84th Annual Bike Week At DAYTONA, a ten-day motorcycle celebration running from Feb. 28 to March 9. Other major races during Bike Week include the DAYTONA 200 (March 6-8) and DAYTONA Short Track (March 6-7).
