Legendary progressive metal band Queensrÿche has announced a major 2025 U.S. tour that will see them hit stages across the country alongside fellow metal heavyweights Accept and rising hard rock outfit The Volume. The highly anticipated tour, which kicks off in early spring, promises to deliver a powerful blend of classic hits, fresh material, and unforgettable performances.
The tour, dubbed the “Evolution Calling Tour 2025,” will begin on March 7 in San Diego, CA, and make stops in over 30 cities including Denver, Chicago, Atlanta, New York, and Dallas, before wrapping up in Seattle, WA, on May 3. Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday at 10 a.m. local time, with exclusive VIP packages available for die-hard fans.
Queensrÿche, formed in 1980, remains one of the most influential acts in progressive and heavy metal history. Known for groundbreaking albums like Operation: Mindcrime and Empire, the band continues to evolve while staying true to their roots. Frontman Todd La Torre, who has been with the band since 2012, shared his excitement about the upcoming run.
> “We’re thrilled to hit the road again and share the stage with the legendary Accept and newcomers The Volume. Every night will be a celebration of heavy music across generations,” La Torre said in a statement.
Joining them on tour is Accept, the German metal institution known for their anthemic sound and iconic tracks like Balls to the Wall and Metal Heart. With a career spanning over four decades, Accept remains a relentless force in the metal world. Their most recent album, Humanoid (released in 2024), has been praised for its modern edge and classic punch.
Meanwhile, The Volume, a fast-rising hard rock band from Los Angeles, will open each night of the tour. Known for their energetic live shows and gritty modern rock sound, The Volume has been gaining momentum since their 2023 debut album Louder Than Words. Their inclusion on the tour reflects Queensrÿche’s ongoing support for emerging talent in the genre.
Fans can expect a dynamic setlist from Queensrÿche, featuring beloved classics, deep cuts, and possibly new material. Rumors are swirling that the band may debut songs from an upcoming album, though no official announcement has been made.
The tour is being produced by Live Nation, and early demand for tickets is already strong. With a lineup that bridges generations of heavy metal and hard rock, the Evolution Calling Tour 2025 is shaping up to be one of the year’s must-see events for fans of the genre.
