UConn Huskies star Azzi Fudd headed to China on Saturday to take part in a summer basketball camp hosted by Stephen Curry. The event is part of the Curry Brand’s international tour, which includes stops in the U.S., China, and Japan. With an NIL partnership in place, Fudd is representing the Curry Brand abroad as an ambassador for its athletic initiatives.
During her flight, she shared a few Instagram stories, giving fans a peek at her travel setup. One post, captioned “The flight essentials,” showed items like her Bose headphones, smartphone (humorously labeled “Trap phone”), U.S. passport, travel pillow, and her current reads—Stephen King’s Misery and Rick Warren’s The Purpose Driven Life. The seatback screen revealed Beijing as her destination along with movies and TV selections. Another story featured Fudd resting with her bonnet and eye mask, noting, “And of course the bonnet and eye mask💤.”
Fudd, who helped UConn capture a national championship last season, first attended the Curry Camp in 2021 and has since returned as one of its coaches. Reflecting on its growth, she told the Bay Area News Group via The Mercury News, “It’s incredible to see how much it’s grown and how much is really put into this. And his inviting an equal number of girls is just amazing—it shows the kind of person he is and that he truly stands by his words.”
Coming off a championship run and now traveling worldwide to promote the game, Fudd is enjoying a memorable offseason. She’ll return to UConn this fall for her final collegiate season.
