Olympic power couple Noah Lyles and Junelle Bromfield are giving fans new glimpses into their plans for a spring 2026 wedding with an intimate but vibrant celebration planned for around 450 guests—one they hope will feel both intimate and rich with meaning.
The couple, who announced their engagement in October 2024, recently opened up to The Knot and People about how they’re balancing differing visions, cultural touches, and personal sentiment as they lay the foundation for their big day.
One of the biggest compromises so far has been the guest list. Lyles admits he leans toward grand celebrations, but Bromfield prefers something smaller and more personal. Ultimately, the pair landed on about 250 guests—a number that Bromfield says “gets things down a little bit” from Lyles’s preferred 400.
Many of their guests will come from their shared athletic worlds. Lyles teases that there will be “a lot of Olympians,” possibly with “three tables of Olympians all the way from the ’80s to 2024.”
When it comes to the reception, Lyles is taking the lead. He wants the evening to be lively and interactive—“cultures mixing, people taking photos, everybody showing up in their Sunday best.”
Words from the heart (or off the cuff)
Not all details are being planned down to the last word—Lyles says he intends to “wing” his wedding vows just as he improvised his proposal. He revealed he made a bet with his brother’s girlfriend a couple of years ago to follow that spontaneous route.
Bromfield, on the other hand, won’t be winging anything. She admits she gets nervous in large crowds, so she plans to write out her vows in advance.
Cultural touches & honoring loved ones
One important priority for Bromfield is making sure the wedding reflects her Jamaican roots. She hopes to involve Jamaican vendors—from makeup artists to designers—while incorporating a theme centered on “all things melanin, all the shades.”
In a touching tribute, the couple also plans to honor the memory of close family members who are no longer with them by placing empty chairs with their photos at the front of the ceremony.
A possible date and setting
There is speculation that the wedding date might fall on April 4, 2026, and that the venue could be a glass‑tent style setting in Georgia. The venue would support roughly 250 guests in its structure, with lodging space factored in as well. Lyles has already confirmed that they’ve hired a wedding planner to help bring their vision to life.
Looking ahead
For Bromfield, the wedding is more than just a single event—it’s a step toward a shared future. She says, “When I think about spending my life with Noah, I feel very excited because I know there’s so much the future holds for us.” She imagines a life together with children and grandchildren, grounded in love and partnership.
As the couple continues to refine details—whether date, venue, or décor—they seem determined to strike the balance between spectacle and intimacy, culture and personality, ceremony and spontaneity.
