Ollie’s donates $26k to WVU Medicine Children’s

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) – A generous donation is changing lives in West Virginia.

Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, one of the nation’s largest retailers of brand-name closeout merchandise, has donated more than $26,000 to benefit children receiving care at WVU Medicine Children’s in Morgantown.

The contribution comes as part of Ollie’s annual in-store fundraising campaign, which supports Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. This year’s campaign raised an impressive $669,000 across the country.

Over the years, the effort has grown tremendously since first partnering with the nonprofit in 2010, Ollie’s has now raised more than $5 million to support pediatric hospitals nationwide.

Locally, the more than $26,000 raised will go directly toward WVU Medicine Children’s, providing critical funding for advanced medical equipment, patient care services, and other resources that help children and families facing serious health challenges.

“This funding will help ensure that children in our community receive the care they need, close to home,” said hospital officials. “Every dollar makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.”

Scott Osborne, Senior Vice President of Stores at Ollie’s, expressed pride in the company’s long-standing partnership with the Children’s Miracle Network.

“We are proud to celebrate 15 years of working together to support kids and families in our local communities,” he said. “Thanks to our loyal and passionate customer base and the dedication of our Ollie’s team, we’re able to make a real difference in children’s lives.”

Ollie’s ongoing commitment to children’s health is a shining example of how corporate philanthropy and community support can come together to bring hope, healing, and brighter futures to young patients and their families.
