“Novak Djokovic wants to beat your mom, too” – Andre Agassi makes feelings clear on why the Serb is the GOAT

Novak Djokovic is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in tennis history. While some people may disagree, his remarkable career speaks for itself and tennis legend Andre Agassi is firmly in the camp that recognizes Djokovic’s greatness.

Speaking on Andy Roddick’s Served podcast, Agassi praised Djokovic’s unmatched defensive skills and suggested that, when necessary, the Serbian star can also dominate offensively.

“I see him as the best defensive player the sport has ever had,” Agassi said. “But what’s really surprising is that when the situation demands it, he might also be the best offensive player. His ability to open up the court from the middle with a cross-court forehand is unbelievable. He reminds me of a boxer who only gets serious after taking a punch.”

Agassi went further, describing Djokovic’s relentless competitive spirit in dramatic fashion. He joked that Djokovic is so intent on winning that it feels as if he even wants to defeat his opponent’s family an exaggerated way of highlighting the Serb’s ruthless commitment on court.

“He’s like an amoeba that consumes everything, dragging you under,” Agassi explained. “He can beat you defensively or offensively. It’s like he wants to beat your mom too it’s intense! But seriously, the guy is world-class. How many ways can you say it?”

Currently, Djokovic is competing at the French Open, where he is set to face world No.1 Jannik Sinner in the semifinals on Friday, June 6.

Djokovic Eyes Grand Slam No. 25

Once viewed as a player capable of winning as many as 30 Grand Slam titles, Djokovic already holds 24 Majors a record in the Open Era. While the 30 title mark may seem far off, a 25th Major remains a very realistic milestone, especially at this year’s Roland Garros.

He earned his spot in the semifinals by defeating Alexander Zverev in an impressive performance and now stands just two wins away from capturing his fourth French Open trophy.

As the most decorated Grand Slam champion in men’s tennis history, Djokovic continues to push boundaries. All eyes will be on whether he can add yet another title to his historic resume by the end of the tournament.
