Novak Djokovic plays violin in US Open Asics ad: “Control the rhythm. Unlock the feeling” The 38-year-old soon begins another quest to win major No. 25.

In recent months, Novak Djokovic has marked several of his victories with a signature violin celebration. The idea came from his daughter, Tara, who started learning the instrument early last year. Djokovic first showcased the move on a major stage during his run to the 2024 Wimbledon final, and later repeated it on his way to Olympic gold in Paris and a runner-up finish at the Miami Open, among other tournaments.

The gesture has resonated with fans, and it recently made its way into a new Asics advertisement promoting the brand’s upcoming New York Collection. In the commercial, Djokovic trades the imaginary bow for a real violin, performing alongside a passage from Vivaldi’s famed composition, The Four Seasons. The campaign caption reads:

“Control the rhythm. Unlock the feeling. From his first step to his final shot, Novak plays with a rhythm only he can hear, and somehow, we feel every beat of it.”

On the court, Djokovic has maintained his remarkable consistency, advancing to the semifinals at all three Grand Slam tournaments played so far this year as he continues his pursuit of a record-extending 25th major singles title. Now 38 years old, he will head into the US Open without recent North American hard-court match practice, having withdrawn from both the Toronto and Cincinnati Masters.

Still, before launching another run at history as the projected No. 7 seed in New York, Djokovic will first take part in mixed doubles alongside fellow Serbian Olga Danilovic. Their appearance comes in a revamped two-day exhibition event starting Tuesday, August 18, staged during Fan Week at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
