“We’re not surprised”- Indiana Fever star Aliyah Boston predicts Dallas Wings will draft Paige Bueckers’ girlfriend, Azzi Fudd.

Indiana Fever star Aliyah Boston says she wouldn’t be surprised if the Dallas Wings use the No. 1 pick in the upcoming WNBA draft to select Azzi Fudd, the longtime girlfriend of Paige Bueckers.

With Dallas holding the top pick in next year’s draft, speculation is building about who will join Bueckers as a franchise cornerstone. Boston shared her thoughts on her Post Moves podcast with Candace Parker, saying the Wings badly need shooting and that Fudd could be the perfect fit.

Boston explained that Dallas had the league’s worst record for a stretch and that choosing Fudd at No. 1 seems realistic. Parker agreed that Fudd is a strong option, but also noted she could easily slot in with the Minnesota Lynx at No. 2 or the Seattle Storm at No. 3. Parker floated Olivia Miles as another potential top pick, praising her playmaking and how she could complement Bueckers if Dallas wants Bueckers to focus more on scoring.

Off the court, Bueckers and Boston have both been included in Forbes’ 30 Under 30 Sports list. Forbes highlighted Bueckers’ national title at UConn, her No. 1 pick status in 2025, her Rookie of the Year season, and her business ventures with Nike, DoorDash, and the 3×3 league Unrivaled.

The possibility of pairing Fudd with Bueckers in Dallas may depend on Arike Ogunbowale’s free-agency decision. Should Ogunbowale leave, Fudd could become the Wings’ ideal replacement on the perimeter.
