UA announced Saturday that Sheridan will serve as the co-offensive/quarterbacks coach for the 2025 season. Last season, he was the team’s offensive coordinator and play caller.
Ryan Grubb, hired as offensive coordinator in February, will handle play-calling duties this season. Although he was initially set to call plays last year, he left after a few weeks to take the same role with the Seattle Seahawks, leading to Sheridan stepping in.
Sheridan’s salary remained unchanged in February when Grubb was hired, according to UA’s payroll records. However, with the new contract cycle starting March 1, 2025, his salary will increase to $1.45 million through February 28, 2026.
Alabama’s offensive coaching staff now includes Grubb, Sheridan, JaMarcus Shephard, Robert Gillespie, Chris Kapilovic, and Bryan Ellis. Notably, the NCAA has lifted the cap on the number of full-time on-field assistants a coaching staff can have.
