The world’s best alpine ski racer isn’t just skilled on the slopes she’s multi-talented, too.
Mikaela Shiffrin has been keeping fans engaged on social media this spring with a variety of posts. These include clips from her offseason training at places like Copper Mountain in Colorado, lifestyle moments from the beach, courtside appearances at Nuggets games, and the announcement of her new ownership stake in a Denver-based women’s professional soccer team.
However, two posts from the past week have especially grabbed attention. In one, Shiffrin teases a “secret project” related to spring skiing that she’s excited to reveal. The other shows her playing guitar and singing Anna Nalick’s Breathe (2AM).
Though she’s shared musical content before, this post’s caption “So excited to share something fun very soon. Best guesses what it is?” has sparked fresh buzz. Fans quickly speculated: Is it an album? A single? A music video?
While no official details are out, many suspect her project involves her impressive singing and guitar-playing talents. One hopeful fan even suggested, “Hosting SNL? (You should),” to which Shiffrin replied, “Would love to someday if they’ll have me!” confirming the secret isn’t an SNL gig, but leaving the door open for a future hosting role.
Only one skier, Johnny Moseley, has hosted Saturday Night Live back in 2002. Could Shiffrin be next? We’d love to see it.
Until then, we’re keeping a close watch on her channels. Our guess? A musical release of some kind seems likely but time will tell.
