The LSU women’s basketball team ranked among the nation’s elite this past season, even though they fell short in the NCAA Tournament. Leading the charge was star guard Flau’Jae Johnson.
Hailing from Savannah, Georgia, Johnson has spent three seasons at LSU, starting in 104 games. She posted an impressive average of 18.6 points per game last season and led the team in free-throw shooting at 81%.
Beyond the court, Johnson is also pursuing a career in rap. On Monday night during the WNBA Draft, she shared her thoughts on the event, including reactions to her teammates, various draftees, and their fashion choices. When LSU’s official X account posted a photo of teammate Aneesah Morrow’s draft night look, Johnson responded with an enthusiastic “AHHHHH.”

Morrow rocked an all-black outfit, highlighted by a structured leather trench coat with bold shoulders and glossy buttons. The coat featured a wide collar and ribbed cuffs, and its cropped cut revealed a fitted leather corset underneath. She completed the look with a high-slit leather skirt, oversized black sunglasses, and a black handbag with a chunky gold chain. The official WNBA X account later posted a picture of Morrow, to which Johnson replied, “Foot on necks.”
Wrapping up her commentary, Johnson praised everyone’s fashion, saying, “All the outfits are eating. Doing y’all big one.”
Morrow was selected 7th overall by the Connecticut Sun in the WNBA Draft, marking the second straight year an LSU alum was taken at that spot Angel Reese was chosen 7th overall by the Chicago Sky in 2024.
Originally from Chicago, Morrow played high school basketball at Simeon Career Academy and started her college career at DePaul. During her two seasons with LSU, she played in 73 games and started 70, averaging 16.4 points per game as a junior and boosting that to 18.7 points as a senior.
