Indiana Fever guard Lexie Hull has officially addressed her future with the franchise and her remarks have sparked plenty of conversation among fans. The 25-year-old wing, who will enter restricted free agency this offseason, shared heartfelt thoughts about her connection to both the team and the city of Indianapolis, while acknowledging that important decisions loom on the horizon.
“I’ve built my life here and I truly love this franchise,” Hull said in a recent interview. “Indianapolis has become home for me. The fans, my teammates, the staff they’ve all played such a huge role in my growth as a player and as a person.”
Hull, drafted sixth overall by the Fever in 2022, has become a reliable two-way contributor, known for her defensive intensity and three-point shooting. Over the past two seasons, she has carved out a consistent role in a young core that includes Aliyah Boston and Caitlin Clark.
But as free agency approaches, Hull admitted that the path forward isn’t simple. “It’s definitely a big decision,” she said. “Free agency gives you options, and it’s about figuring out what’s best for my career and my future. That’s not always easy when your heart is tied to one place.”
Her comments suggest that while she remains deeply committed to the Fever, she is keeping an open mind about what lies ahead. The Fever’s front office has expressed interest in retaining Hull, and as a restricted free agent, they have the right to match any offer she receives from other teams.
For now, Hull is focused on preparing for the upcoming season and staying grounded amid the speculation. “At the end of the day,” she added, “I want to be in a place where I can keep growing and help my team win.”
