The Haunted guitarist, Ola Englund, has posted a new video and a short note:
“Iron Maiden played two nights in Stockholm, and I had the amazing chance to do a guitar rundown with Adrian Smith. What a true gentleman!”
Iron Maiden’s “Run For Your Lives” World Tour celebrates the 50th anniversary of the band’s formation by Steve Harris in 1975. The tour promises a special setlist spanning nine studio albums from Iron Maiden to Fear of the Dark, and features the band’s most spectacular and ambitious show to date.
To maintain the authentic 1980s concert experience, the band is asking fans to limit phone usage during performances. Manager Rod Smallwood emphasized the desire for fans to be present in the moment, enjoying the show live rather than through screens.
He explained:
“We want fans to be fully immersed and not distracted by filming. The sea of phones not only affects the band’s view from the stage but also impacts other attendees’ enjoyment. We hope fans will respect this request so everyone can truly celebrate the music and atmosphere.”
The band urges concertgoers to participate by singing along and soaking in the energy, just like fans did when the songs were originally performed live.
As part of the anniversary celebration, Iron Maiden will also host fan meet-ups in tour cities. This includes the return of Eddie’s Official Pop-up Dive Bar, first introduced during their Australian tour. Open pre- and post-show in 20 cities, the bar will serve Trooper Beer, Darkest Red wine, exclusive merch, food, and entertainment. Note: band members will not be present at these events.
Additionally, a feature-length documentary produced by Universal Pictures Content Group will hit cinemas later this year, alongside a deluxe hardback book from Thames & Hudson that visually chronicles five decades of Iron Maiden history. More information on both releases will be shared soon.
