Iron Maiden have teamed up with West Ham United Football Club to launch a special edition jersey marking two major milestones the band’s 50th anniversary and the club’s 50 years since their 1975 FA Cup triumph.
The shirt, priced at £70, features West Ham’s classic claret and blue colours and is part of the ‘Die With Your Boots On’ football apparel range. This collaboration follows their joint celebration earlier in the year, when Iron Maiden performed a sold-out show at West Ham’s London Stadium. Lifelong Hammers supporter and Maiden bassist Steve Harris proudly wore the jersey at the concert, alongside the band’s mascot, Eddie.
The design includes the 1975 FA Cup final badge, the Iron Maiden logo on the front, “IMFC” on the right breast, and the number 11 with a Hammer & Bass guitar logo on the back.
Reflecting on the 1975 final, Harris said: “I wasn’t at the game, but what memories! Alan Taylor scored twice and we won it. Frank Lampard and Pat Holland were in that team they even coached me as a kid! Come on you Irons!”
Speaking about the London Stadium gig, he added: “That day was truly special. We’d been wearing that shirt throughout our football matches across Europe, including one at West Ham’s community hub, The Foundry. It just felt right to wear it on that stage. I saw so many of our past football shirts in the crowd hopefully fans grab this one too as a keepsake of that moment.”
