Indiana Fever Hit with Another Season-Ending Injury Amid Playoff Pus.

The Indiana Fever remain in the WNBA playoff hunt despite a wave of injuries that has devastated their roster. Star guard Caitlin Clark is currently out for the third extended stretch of her rookie season, but she’s far from the only absence the team has endured.

Just two weeks ago, ESPN’s Alexa Philippou reported that Sydney Colson (ACL tear) and Aari McDonald (broken foot) were both ruled out for the remainder of 2025. Now, the Fever have confirmed that Sophie Cunningham will also miss the rest of the season after injuring her knee in Sunday’s matchup against the Connecticut Sun.

That makes three season-ending injuries in less than 14 days for Indiana. Fans took to social media to share their reactions, calling the stretch of bad luck “devastating” and “unbelievable.” One supporter wrote, “If this team makes the playoffs and goes on a run, it’s going to feel like a movie.”

With less than a month left in the regular season, the Fever’s ability to secure and advance in the postseason may depend heavily on whether Clark is able to return.
