PROVO, Utah – As anticipated, several BYU football players have entered the NCAA Transfer Portal during the spring window, which opened on Wednesday, April 16, and runs through Friday, April 25.
On day one of the window, multiple BYU players have already made the move.
Cale Breslin, Running Back
Cale Breslin, a former three-star recruit, joined BYU for just one semester and now enters the portal with four years of eligibility left. Part of the 2025 recruiting class, he chose BYU over offers from schools like Indiana, Syracuse, and Wisconsin. The Cougars currently have a deep running back group, led by LJ Martin and Sione Moa.
I appreciate everything BYU has done for me, especially the coaching staff and Coach Harvey. After careful consideration with my family, I’ve decided to enter the NCAA transfer portal on April 16. I have four years of eligibility left and look forward to the next chapter. pic.twitter.com/SoXLnwe7LO

Justice Ena, Offensive Lineman
According to On3, Justice Ena son of BYU linebackers coach Justin Ena has also entered the portal. After missing last season due to injury, he was the third-string center during recent spring practices. Ena initially signed with Utah State out of Sky View High School and has spent two years with BYU after returning from a church mission.
Nathan Hoke, Defensive End/Linebacker
Hoke, son of former BYU standout Chris Hoke, was originally recruited in the 2021 class. He played as a linebacker last season but was recently shifted to defensive end for the upcoming year.
I am grateful for all of the relationships and development that I was able to make at BYU. I am also grateful for the blessings I received while being a part of the team. With that being said, I am officially entering the transfer portal with 4 years of eligibility left. pic.twitter.com/8hsNZQ1Y85

After much thought and prayer, I am excited to announce that I am heading to the transfer portal with 3 years of eligibility remaining. I am excited for what’s next!@_Mike_McCabe @thedawsonzim @OneOnOneKicking pic.twitter.com/8xTimjj61l
