“If I am fit, maybe I could try” – Tadej Pogacar admits Paris-Roubaix course was easier than expected as open flirtation with potential 2025 participation continues…

Speculation about Tadej Pogačar competing in Paris-Roubaix in 2025 continues to circulate. His ongoing interest in the legendary race, known as the “Hell of the North,” only adds fuel to the rumors.

During an appearance on the ‘Bartoli Time’ show with former tennis champion Marion Bartoli for RMC, Pogačar was asked directly about his experience on the cobbles and through the Arenberg Forest. “I did a reconnaissance for Paris-Roubaix, and I have to say, it intrigued me,” the world champion admitted. He had a positive test ride alongside his UAE Team Emirates – XRG teammate Tim Wellens.

Bartoli then posed the big question: Was the reconnaissance a sign of a 2025 debut, or just a step toward a future appearance? “Maybe in the near future, there’s a strong chance I’ll take part. I can’t say whether it will be this year or later,” Pogačar responded, carefully avoiding a clear answer. “There is always a possibility. We’ll see. Let’s keep it a surprise. I love racing. I once thought Paris-Roubaix was too tough for me, but after the reconnaissance, I realized I might be able to handle it. If I’m in good shape, I could give it a try.”

He concluded by hinting that a final decision will likely come after Milano-Sanremo on March 22.
