The Indiana Fever couldn’t snap their skid on Friday night, falling 88-84 to the Washington Mystics for their fourth loss in five games after what had been a five-game winning streak. Indiana now sits at 18-16, while Washington improves to 15-18.
Rookie standouts Sonia Citron and Kiki Iriafen fueled the Mystics’ win. Citron scored a game-high 21 points, and Iriafen added 18 points along with 12 rebounds. Aliyah Boston paced the Fever with 20 points, but Kelsey Mitchell struggled from the field, finishing 6-of-19 overall and just 1-of-6 from deep.
The Fever’s playoff positioning is under pressure after dropping consecutive home games to teams below .500. Caitlin Clark missed her 12th straight contest (21st this season) with a right groin strain.
