Farm Fresh eliminates Capital1 to set up showdown with Creamline.

The Foxies battle the Cool Smashers next week!

DASMARINAS, Cavite — Farm Fresh secured a spot in the 2025 PVL on Tour quarterfinals with a dominant 25-20, 25-15, 25-21 knockout win over Capital1 on Saturday.

This marks the Foxies’ first return to the PVL playoff stage since the 2024 Reinforced Conference, where they were eliminated by Akari in the quarterfinals. Farm Fresh will now face a well-rested Creamline squad in the preseason playoff opener on August 9, with the winner advancing to face either PLDT or the victor of the ZUS Coffee vs. Choco Mucho knockout match.

Capital1, meanwhile, became the first team to be eliminated from the preseason tournament, finishing winless in all six of their matches.

Setter Alohi Robins-Hardy delivered 15 excellent sets, enabling four Farm Fresh players to reach double-digit scoring. Trisha Tubu led the charge with 15 points on nine attacks, four blocks, and two aces. Caitlin Viray and Lorene Toring added 11 points each, while Jolina dela Cruz chipped in 10.

Farm Fresh controlled the first two sets, finishing the second with a five-point run. In the third, they led 15-7 before Capital1 rallied behind KC Galdones, Trisha Genesis, and rookie Pia Abbu to seize a 17-16 advantage. Galdones scored seven, while Genesis and Abbu contributed six points apiece.

Despite the late scare, Farm Fresh pulled through. Head coach Alessandro Lodi acknowledged the team’s near-collapse and saw it as a valuable learning moment.

“We shot ourselves in the foot, but the silver lining is that adversity gives you a chance to respond,” Lodi said. “You don’t want those situations, but when they come, they also present an opportunity to rise above them as I told the team during the time-out.”
