
To commemorate the 40th anniversary of Iron Maiden’s iconic album Powerslave, BMG has released a special limited-edition vinyl in 2024. This release includes the band’s first-ever zoetrope picture disc, which pairs dynamic zoetrope visuals with the album’s 2015 remastered audio making it a must-have for collectors. The package also features an expanded version of the original sleeve with fresh artwork and exclusive Powerslave At 40 liner notes by Iron Maiden founder Steve Harris. Additionally, a Walmart Exclusive edition comes with a Lenticular 3D print of the album art.
Powerslave originally hit shelves in September 1984 as the band’s fifth studio album and proved to be a global success. It charted prominently across several countries reaching #2 in the UK, #3 in Switzerland, #4 in Norway, and securing top 30 positions in numerous other regions. The album earned various Gold and Platinum certifications and includes legendary tracks like “2 Minutes to Midnight,” “Aces High,” “Powerslave,” and the epic “Rime of the Ancient Mariner.” Loved by fans worldwide, Powerslave captured Iron Maiden’s growing creative power and cemented their rise to global metal stardom a status they proudly maintain to this day.
