Danica Patrick responds to Jimmy Kimmel getting pulled off air after Charlie Kirk assassination remarks.

Former NASCAR star says 'human decency is coming back' as Disney pulls talk show indefinitely

Former motorsport icon Danica Patrick has reacted to Disney’s indefinite suspension of late-night host Jimmy Kimmel from ABC following his controversial remarks about Charlie Kirk’s assassination.

On Wednesday, Patrick posted on Instagram celebrating the move. One of her stories featured a headline about Kimmel’s removal with the caption: “Human decency is coming back. Thank God.” She also resurfaced a 2017 tweet from Kirk that read, “Jimmy Kimmel isn’t funny.”

Patrick, now a vocal conservative and staunch supporter of Donald Trump, is among several right-wing figures applauding Disney’s decision.

Kimmel, however, had sparked outrage earlier in the week when he accused conservatives of stooping to “new lows” by downplaying the leftist ties of Tyler Robinson, the 22-year-old charged with killing Kirk. Prosecutors reaffirmed Robinson’s ideological leanings in Tuesday’s indictment. FBI officials and Utah Gov. Spencer Cox also confirmed Robinson was radicalized in recent years and had a relationship with a transitioning roommate.

The controversy escalated when FCC Chairman Brendan Carr warned Disney of potential consequences if it failed to act. Calling Kimmel’s remarks “some of the sickest conduct,” Carr suggested the FCC had “avenues” to pursue. Speaking on The Benny Show, he criticized what he described as deliberate misinformation about Robinson’s motives.

By Wednesday evening, Nexstar Media Group said it would pull Jimmy Kimmel Live from its ABC affiliates “for the foreseeable future.” Hours later, Disney confirmed the show would be suspended indefinitely.
