Congratulations from Fever Nation: Kelsey Mitchell Named AP All-WNBA First Team.

Indiana Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell carved her name into the history books Friday, becoming just the second player in franchise history to earn a spot on the prestigious AP All-WNBA First Team. The honor caps a remarkable 2025 season for Mitchell, who elevated her game to elite heights and delivered one of the finest individual campaigns in team history.

The milestone places Mitchell in rare company. Only her teammate Caitlin Clark, who earned First Team recognition in 2024, had previously represented the Fever on the AP’s top tier since the award’s creation in 2016. For Mitchell, the recognition is not just a personal triumph but also a testament to her longevity, dedication, and steady rise as one of the league’s premier scorers.

Mitchell’s 2025 season was nothing short of spectacular. She led the WNBA in three-pointers made with 111, a mark that showcased her reputation as one of the game’s most feared perimeter threats. She also finished second in total points scored (890) and ranked third in scoring average at 20.2 points per game surpassing Tamika Catchings’ long-standing franchise record from 2003.

Durability and consistency defined her year as well. Starting all 44 games, Mitchell logged a team-high 1,381 minutes while setting the Fever’s single-season scoring record. Along the way, she also became the franchise’s all-time leader in made threes with 669, cementing her legacy as the most prolific sharpshooter in Fever history.

Perhaps most impressively, Mitchell recorded 11 career games of 30 points or more, eclipsing another Catchings benchmark. In doing so, she carried the Fever’s offense with confidence and flair, proving herself capable of rewriting the record books and inspiring a new generation of fans.

For Fever Nation, this First Team nod is more than an accolade it’s a celebration of one of the franchise’s all-time greats reaching her peak.
