Coco Gauff and New Balance Introduce More Affordable Tennis Shoe.

Coco Gauff’s ongoing collaboration with New Balance has taken another step forward with the launch of a new, more affordable tennis sneaker.

The world No. 3 has already released two signature shoes with the brand—the CG1, which she wore during her triumphant run to the 2023 US Open title, and the CG2, which debuted last year. While she didn’t replicate her US Open success immediately with the CG2, she later won the 2024 WTA Finals wearing them.

Despite their popularity, the high-quality design of Gauff’s previous shoes made them expensive, limiting accessibility for some fans. To address this, Gauff and New Balance have introduced the Coco Delray, a tennis shoe priced at $110. Designed for both performance and casual wear, the shoe retains key elements of the CG1 and CG2 while being more budget-friendly.

Gauff expressed pride in the new sneaker, which not only makes tennis gear more accessible but also pays tribute to Delray Beach, Florida, where her parents were born. In a promotional video, her grandmother, Yvonne Lee Odom, narrates the story of Delray Beach’s public courts, where Gauff trained as a child, highlighting her commitment to making the sport more inclusive.

Evan Zeder, New Balance’s Head of Tennis Sports Marketing, emphasized that the shoe reflects Gauff’s dedication to increasing access to sports for more people. Available in two color options, the Coco Delray is expected to generate high demand, thanks to Gauff’s influence and the lower price point.

Gauff Looks to Bounce Back in Miami

On the court, Gauff is facing a rough patch. She was eliminated in the round of 16 at the 2025 Indian Wells Open by Belinda Bencic, marking her fourth loss in six matches. This comes after a strong stretch of play, including her WTA Finals victory.

The 21-year-old will now turn her focus to the 2025 Miami Open, where she has never advanced past the fourth round. A deep run there could help her regain momentum.
