West Virginia’s new head coach, Ross Hodge, will soon begin making official announcements regarding his coaching staff.
Fans had been holding onto hope that assistant head coach and top recruiter Chester Frazier would remain with the program. However, as expected, Frazier appears to be moving on to another opportunity.
Early Tuesday morning, he shared a message on X, expressing his gratitude for his time at West Virginia.
“What a year!!! This was probably my most rewarding season as a coach. We got everything out of this group, and they gave us their all! From the Italy trip to that final buzzer in Kansas City, it was an incredible journey. I have no doubt we built a résumé worthy of the tournament!
“I want to thank our players, staff, administration, fans, and everyone who played a role in our season! The Bahamas trip, winning at the Phog, and the victory at home against Iowa State were unforgettable moments.
“A special thanks to our seniors you represented this team with heart and determination! It wasn’t easy, but we found a way! The future is bright for all of you.
“To Mountaineer fans you are the best! Your loyalty and love for WVU made my family feel welcome, and we will always be grateful! I wish we could have finished what we started, but I know you all will continue to be great!”
