The Indiana Fever, fresh off their 2025 Commissioner’s Cup title, return to Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Thursday, July 3, to take on the Las Vegas Aces once again without star guard Caitlin Clark.
Clark will miss her fourth straight game due to a left groin injury that also kept her out of the Fever’s 74-59 championship victory over the Minnesota Lynx on July 1. It will be her ninth absence of the season, having previously missed five games with a quad injury. The Fever have posted a 4-4 record in her absence and remain hopeful for her return.
“I’m doing everything possible to be ready for the next game that’s always the goal,” Clark said on June 29. “The medical team and I are working hard to get my body right so I can get back out there.”
Although listed as “day-to-day,” Clark was officially ruled out a day before the game. Head coach Stephanie White emphasized the team’s cautious approach, prioritizing Clark’s long-term health.
“There are five games left before the All-Star break,” White said on July 2. “Even though she’s eager to return, we’re making sure she’s completely ready. It’s about getting her back at 100%.”
