Best Virginia’s coaching staff for this year’s edition of The Basketball Tournament (TBT) will feature some familiar names.

Jarrod West is back as head coach, taking over the reins from James Long, who had led the team in recent summers. West, currently coaching at Notre Dame High School in Clarksburg, also guided Best Virginia during its TBT debut in 2019. A former Mountaineer, he played for West Virginia from 1994 to 1998, averaging over 10 points per game across 110 career appearances. Assisting him will be Ron Everhart, a longtime WVU assistant who spent 10 seasons on Bob Huggins’ staff and worked alongside Josh Eilert during his interim head coaching stint.

Best Virginia will once again serve as a host for regional play at the Charleston Coliseum, set for July 18–22. Teams joining them in the region include Herd That (Marshall alumni), Court Street Kings (Ohio alumni), Sikh Warriors, DuBois Dream, Elite Nation, and The Nawf. Tournament matchups are yet to be finalized.
