BERLIN, Germany – Rising international talent Danelle Arigbabu has committed to joining the program for the 2025-26 season, bringing a blend of athleticism, skill, and global experience that has head coach Mark Kellogg and his staff eager for what lies ahead.

“I’m super excited to add Danelle,” Kellogg said. “She brings a lot to the table—not just in terms of her size and ability, but also her maturity and experience playing internationally. She’s going to be a fantastic addition to our team culture and on-court performance.”

Arigbabu, a standout player from Berlin, Germany, has been turning heads in European basketball circles. At 6-foot-4, she’s known for her versatility in the frontcourt, able to play both the forward and center positions with ease. Her length, timing, and instincts make her a formidable shot blocker and rebounder, while her mobility and touch around the rim provide scoring punch in the paint.

Over the past few seasons, Arigbabu has developed her game with ALBA Berlin’s women’s program, one of the top developmental systems in Germany. She’s also represented Germany in various FIBA youth competitions, gaining valuable experience against elite international talent. That background has prepared her well for the transition to the NCAA level, where she’s expected to make an immediate impact.

“Danelle is a competitor,” said Kellogg. “She’s played against some of the best young players in Europe, and that’s not something you can teach. Her work ethic, her basketball IQ—they stood out from the very first time we watched her play.”

Arigbabu’s decision to cross the Atlantic and pursue her collegiate career in the U.S. is part of a growing trend among European players seeking high-level competition and education. In interviews, she expressed excitement not only about basketball but also about being part of a strong academic environment and experiencing life on a new continent.

“I’ve always dreamed of playing in the U.S., where basketball is such a big part of the culture,” Arigbabu said. “When I spoke with Coach Kellogg and the staff, I felt right away that this was the place for me. The vision they have for the program, the support they offer, and the team’s style of play—it all just fits.”

Kellogg believes Arigbabu’s presence will elevate practices, challenge teammates, and contribute to a deeper rotation during the long collegiate season.

“Recruiting internationally has always been a part of how we build this program, and when you find a player like Danelle—someone who checks every box—it’s a huge win,” he said.

As the team continues to build for the future, Arigbabu’s addition is a strong signal that the program is poised for continued success both on and off the court.

“She’s got a bright future,” Kellogg said. “And we’re thrilled that future is with us.”
