This Is Awful”: Candace Parker Reacts To Caitlin Clark Dunking On LeBron James In Viral NBA 2K Clip.

“This Is Crazy”: Candace Parker Responds to Viral Clip of Caitlin Clark Dunking on LeBron James in NBA 2K.

Earlier this month, NBA 2K rolled out a groundbreaking update that allows NBA and WNBA players to compete on the same teams. The feature has produced plenty of viral moments, but none more outrageous than Caitlin Clark dunking on LeBron James.

Candace Parker shared her thoughts on the viral clip during the latest episode of her podcast Post Moves with Candace Parker and Aliyah Boston, which featured Blake Griffin as a guest.

“You’ve got Caitlin Clark knocking down shots, Paige Bueckers chest-bumping Dirk Nowitzki, A’ja Wilson tossing a lob to Bam Adebayo—that’s all pretty wild. But Caitlin Clark dunking on Bron, flexing, and standing over him? That’s hilarious. I love what technology can do,” Parker said.

The moment is so over-the-top that it’s almost hard to process, even for a video game. NBA 2K26 highlighted the scene in its trailer to showcase both the possibilities and absurdity of its new mode. In the clip, Clark rises up, posters LeBron, and then stands triumphantly over the fallen Lakers legend.

Though this is the first time NBA and WNBA athletes can share the same digital court, Parker already has history with the franchise. She was the first WNBA star to grace the cover of NBA 2K in the 2022 edition. This year, Angel Reese carried on the tradition by becoming the cover athlete, a reflection of the WNBA’s growing popularity.

“It was such a moment back then because people were still asking, ‘Wait, women can actually be in video games?’ Now, fans are pushing for better representation of players and calling out when the game doesn’t get it right. A good example is Lexi Hull—they didn’t do her justice in the 2025 version,” Parker explained, noting how much has changed in just four years.

While the new mode will undoubtedly produce unrealistic and even absurd matchups, Parker emphasized that’s the fun of gaming—it lets fans experience scenarios they’d never see in real life.
