Ariana Grande has certainly gone all out for the ‘Wicked’ red carpets, and given that she could be on her way to winning her first Oscar for playing Glinda, tonight’s look has set a new standard.
Her dress is a customized version of a design from Schiaparelli’s Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2025 Icarus collection. According to her stylist, Mimi Cuttrell, Ariana’s version is even more dazzling than the runway original featuring a pinker hue and over 190,000 crystals. This choice isn’t entirely surprising, considering she recently wore another Schiaparelli look on the cover of ‘The Hollywood Reporter’. “I am floating with gratitude,” she wrote on Instagram alongside photos of the look.
Her makeup, created by artist Michael Anthony, features products from her own brand, r.e.m. beauty. She’s wearing the Wicked Ozdust eyeshadow palette, combined with the new Eclipse blush and lipstick in the shade Matinee. She completed the look with jewelry from De Beers.
While ‘The Daily Mail’ has already labeled it one of the worst looks of the night, others see it as a striking combination of elegance and boldness, blending sculptural elements with softness.
Update: Ariana made a quick outfit change into a ruby-red slipper-inspired gown for her opening performance at the Oscars but later returned to her champagne-colored dress for the rest of the event.
On March 2, 2025, she took the stage at the 97th Annual Academy Awards at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, making the night even more memorable.
