ACCEPT Guitarist Wolf Hoffmann Discusses Touring Plans Beyond U.S. Festival Dates.

Legendary German heavy metal band ACCEPT continues to forge ahead with renewed energy and a clear vision for the road ahead. In a recent interview, longtime guitarist and founding member Wolf Hoffmann shared insights into the band’s touring schedule, which extends beyond their already announced appearances at U.S. festivals later this year — most notably their performance at the M3 Rock Festival, set to take place in early September at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland.

The M3 Rock Festival appearance will mark one of the band’s few live performances in the U.S. this year, and fans can expect a powerful setlist that celebrates ACCEPT’s enduring legacy while spotlighting tracks from their latest album, Humanoid, released in April 2024. According to Hoffmann, however, the festival gigs are just the beginning.

“We’re definitely doing M3 and a couple of other U.S. festival shows, but there’s more in the works,” Hoffmann said. “Our management and booking agents are already putting together a more extensive tour plan, not only for North America but globally. We’re looking at dates into 2026 already.”

While Hoffmann remained tight-lipped about specific venues and cities, he hinted that the band’s touring schedule would become more robust in early 2025, following the enthusiastic reception to Humanoid and the band’s recent European run.

“We had such a great time playing the European festivals this summer — the crowds were amazing, and it really reminded us why we do this,” Hoffmann said. “There’s something magical about sharing new songs with fans in a live setting. And Humanoid has connected with people in a way we’re really proud of.”

He also acknowledged the challenges of balancing large festival dates with more intimate headlining shows, especially in North America, where logistical considerations and market dynamics can complicate scheduling.

“We love festivals because we can reach a wide audience in one night,” Hoffmann explained. “But nothing beats our own shows, where we can dig deeper into the catalog and really give the hardcore fans what they want. That’s what we’re hoping to plan — a proper headlining tour, maybe even with some special guests.”

In the meantime, ACCEPT fans in the U.S. will have to seize the opportunity to catch the band live at M3 and any other announced dates this year. The group’s current lineup — featuring Hoffmann, vocalist Mark Tornillo, guitarist Uwe Lulis, bassist Martin Motnik, drummer Christopher Williams, and touring guitarist Philip Shouse — has been praised for its tight performances and chemistry on stage.

As for the band’s long-term future, Hoffmann remains optimistic.

“We’re not slowing down,” he said. “As long as we’re healthy and the fans keep showing up, we’ll keep playing. ACCEPT has always been about the music, and the stage is where it all comes together.”

Fans should stay tuned to the band’s official website and social media channels for forthcoming tour announcements.
