Internet mashup maestro Bill McClintock has unveiled his latest over-the-top creation a fiery, devil-themed blend featuring some of rock and metal’s most iconic acts. The core of this infernal remix includes Stryper’s To Hell With The Devil, AC/DC’s Highway to Hell, and Kiss’s Hotter Than Hell.
McClintock didn’t stop there. He cranked up the chaos by weaving in Mötley Crüe’s Shout at the Devil, Pantera’s Cowboys From Hell, Dokken’s Into the Fire, Vixen’s Edge of a Broken Heart, AC/DC’s Hells Bells, Blue Öyster Cult’s Burnin’ for You, Twisted Sister’s Burn in Hell, and Judas Priest’s Devil’s Child. Balancing the devilish energy are less sinister selections like Def Leppard’s Foolin’ and three Van Halen tracks: Sinner’s Swing, And the Cradle Will Rock, and Jump.
“This mashup originally came from a request by my friend Kenny Seay, who wanted to hear To Hell With the Devil mixed with Highway to Hell,” McClintock explained. “But things kind of spiraled from there.”
Spiraled, indeed. Known for his outrageous genre collisions, McClintock has previously fused Slipknot with the Spice Girls, Kiss with Earth, Wind & Fire, and Mötley Crüe with Steely Dan among countless others.
However, not everyone is a fan. “Record labels generally don’t tolerate unauthorized use of their music,” McClintock told Inside Hook in 2021. “If I include a song that’s off-limits, they can file a complaint with YouTube, which may remove the video or block it entirely. Too many strikes, and my channel could be shut down. It’s frustrating. I’ve thought about switching platforms, but I’d lose a huge part of my audience.”
