WNBA star Caitlin Clark is facing rough treatment on the court and verbal jabs from competitors, but she’s found an unexpected supporter in adult film star Kendra Lust. Lust has expressed her disgust with how Clark is being treated and criticized the WNBA’s failure to address the frequent fouls and targeting against her.
For instance, during a recent game against Connecticut, Clark was hit in the eye and knocked down, yet the opposing player, Marina Mabrey, only received a technical foul and remained in the game. Lust took to X (formerly Twitter) to voice her outrage, questioning why no one was ejected and sarcastically comparing the incident to a UFC fight. Clark herself also received a technical foul in the same game, as did Jacy Sheldon, who also struck Clark in the face.
This incident is just one example in a series of attacks on Clark, who has significantly boosted the WNBA’s popularity and draws sold-out crowds wherever her team plays. Lust believes that either Clark will get seriously injured or a major fight will erupt before the WNBA finally intervenes. She also suggested that other top players speaking out could help.
Beyond Mabrey and Sheldon, numerous other players have engaged in aggressive play against Clark. Notable past incidents include Angel Reese slamming Clark to the ground after a minor foul last season, and Clark also enduring a clothesline to the head.
