Class of 2026 WVU Football Commit Shows Off Elite Strength With Bench Press Footage.

Days after flipping his commitment from Coastal Carolina, West Virginia 2026 OL prospect Camden Goforth impresses with his bench press footage.

The West Virginia Mountaineers may have found a gem in their latest Class of 2026 commit.

Camden Goforth, an offensive lineman from McMinn County (Tenn.), recently switched his commitment from Coastal Carolina to West Virginia. His intense highlight reel already suggests he’s a natural fit for head coach Rich Rodriguez’s tough, physical style of play. “I promise to bring physicality and intensity,” Goforth told Rivals following his announcement.

Now, Goforth has taken things up a notch by posting weight room footage that further explains why the WVU coaching staff and fans should be thrilled about his addition to the roster. On X (formerly Twitter), he shared a clip completing the “Big Man Challenge,” in which he performed an impressive 33 reps of 185 pounds on the bench press a benchmark drill commonly used to evaluate college and pro prospects.

Earlier this year, he also posted a video where he shattered his school’s squat record, completing three reps at a staggering 640 pounds, and noted that this wasn’t even close to his maximum capacity.

That level of raw strength is a major reason Rodriguez and offensive line coach Jack Bicknell Jr. are eager to get him into the program. They’re also drawn to his flexibility on the line, as Goforth mentioned the coaches want him to learn to snap, enabling him to play at any of the three interior offensive line positions.
