Insider predicts Alabama’s Kalen DeBoer to land one of the nation’s top RBs.

Kalen DeBoer and Alabama received another prediction to land a top player in the 2026 recruiting class.

Kalen DeBoer and his staff at Alabama are picking up steam on the recruiting front. While some fans might be uneasy with the Crimson Tide holding only five commitments for the 2026 class as June approaches, it’s worth remembering they were in a similar spot last year.

At the start of last summer, Alabama had just four commitments. Then came a recruiting surge that helped them secure a Top 5 class. Many insiders now expect a repeat performance this summer.

A key factor behind this optimism is Alabama’s strong position with the top in-state talent. Recent updates suggest the Crimson Tide is currently favored to land the top three prospects in Alabama for the 2026 class. One of those targets, 5-star running back Ezavier Crowell, is drawing particular attention.

Crowell, who reclassified to the 2026 class, has long been viewed as an Alabama lean. Recruiting analyst Adam Gorney from Rivals recently predicted the Tide would land the elite back. Crowell has also moved up his commitment date to June 26th from the original plan of December 31st. Before making a decision, he’ll take official visits to Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Texas, and Florida State.

Big Recruiting Weekend Ahead

Alabama has strategically scheduled official visits for the state’s top three prospects Tank Jones, Cederian Morgan, and Ezavier Crowell for the weekend of June 20th. It’s shaping up to be the most important recruiting weekend of the summer in Tuscaloosa.

Crowell will make his decision just six days later on June 26th, with Morgan set to follow on July 2nd. While Jones hasn’t set a commitment date yet, Alabama is expected to host his final official visit on June 20th, which could be decisive.

As summer unfolds, Alabama appears poised for a major recruiting run. Concerns over a slow start to the 2026 cycle may soon be a thing of the past. DeBoer and his staff are proving they can recruit at a high level in the South—and their momentum could soon be felt nationwide.
