ICC have Announced Olympic Legend Usain Bolt Again as an Ambassador for the 2026 Upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, which will be Played in the West Indies and USA from June 4 to June 30, 2026…

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially announced that global sprinting icon Usain Bolt will once again serve as an ambassador for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. The tournament, which is set to take place in the West Indies and the United States, will run from June 4 to June 30, 2026, and promises to be one of the most expansive and exciting editions of the event to date.

Bolt, an eight-time Olympic gold medallist and world record holder in both the 100m and 200m sprints, is renowned not only for his extraordinary achievements in athletics but also for his charismatic presence and global appeal. His appointment as a tournament ambassador is seen as a strategic move to broaden the reach of cricket, particularly in emerging markets such as the United States.

Speaking about his role, Bolt expressed enthusiasm for being part of the cricketing spectacle once again. “Cricket has always been close to my heart, especially growing up in the Caribbean. I’m thrilled to play a role in promoting the T20 World Cup, especially as it makes its mark in the U.S. This is a massive opportunity to bring new fans to the sport and to celebrate the unique energy that T20 cricket brings,” he said.

The 2026 tournament will mark the second time the ICC has appointed Bolt in an ambassadorial role, following his successful involvement with the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, also co-hosted by the West Indies and the U.S. The 2026 edition will see a record number of teams participating, with 20 nations competing in over 50 matches across iconic venues.

ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardice highlighted the significance of Bolt’s continued association with the tournament. “Usain Bolt is a legend whose global popularity transcends sport. His involvement as an ambassador will further elevate the profile of the T20 World Cup and help us engage new audiences, particularly in the American market where cricket is rapidly growing.”

The collaboration aims to combine Bolt’s dynamic persona with the explosive excitement of T20 cricket to drive fan engagement through digital campaigns, promotional events, and public appearances in the lead-up to and during the tournament. With the Caribbean’s deep-rooted love for cricket and Bolt’s status as one of Jamaica’s most celebrated athletes, the partnership reinforces the cultural and sporting ties between athletics and cricket in the region.

With preparations already underway, the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is poised to build on the momentum of recent tournaments, expanding the global footprint of the game and delivering an unforgettable experience for fans worldwide. Usain Bolt’s return as ambassador adds a layer of star power that’s expected to resonate across sports fans and new audiences alike.

The countdown to cricket’s biggest T20 carnival in the West Indies and USA has officially begun — with the world’s fastest man leading the charge.
