The Paige Bueckers era in the WNBA is set to begin this Wednesday. The Dallas Wings will host a press conference to officially welcome their rookie class, headlined by Bueckers. The former UConn standout, who led the Huskies to a national championship, was selected first overall by Dallas in the WNBA Draft.

The event, scheduled for 1 p.m. (ET) at Dallas City Hall, will feature Bueckers in her new city for the first time in an official capacity. Wings CEO and Managing Partner Greg Bibb, Executive VP and GM Curt Miller, head coach Chris Koclanes, Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson, and City Manager Kimberly Bizor Tolbert will also be in attendance.

Alongside Bueckers, the Wings will introduce other members of their rookie class: Aziaha James (No. 12, NC State), Madison Scott (No. 14, Ole Miss), JJ Quinerly (No. 27, West Virginia), and Aaronette Vonleh (No. 31, Baylor). Bueckers was drafted on April 14, just one day after the Huskies celebrated their title with a parade in Downtown Hartford. She was recently seen in New York ahead of her Dallas debut.

The Wings’ training camp kicks off Sunday, April 27. Their preseason opener is against the Las Vegas Aces on May 2 at 7 p.m., and they begin the regular season on May 16 against the Minnesota Lynx.
