Stifel U.S. Men’s Olympic Alpine Ski Team Named for Bormio 2026.

The Stifel U.S. Ski Team has confirmed its six-man men’s Olympic alpine squad for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games, selecting a group that combines proven World Cup winners, established podium performers, elite speed specialists, and the program’s youngest emerging talent. The selections reflect depth across downhill, super-G, and giant slalom, with athletes chosen based on results, consistency, and their ability to perform under championship pressure.

Ryan Cochran-Siegle, the reigning Olympic super-G silver medalist, headlines the team alongside Bryce Bennett, with both bringing World Cup victories to the roster. River Radamus adds podium experience, while the remaining athletes contribute strong World Cup top-10 and top-15 finishes, Junior World Championship titles, NorAm success, and extensive experience on demanding courses.

Athlete Highlights

River Radamus (1998, Edwards, Colorado)

A 2023 World Champion in the team event, three-time Youth Olympic gold medalist, and two-time Junior World Champion in giant slalom and super-G. He narrowly missed the podium with a fourth-place GS finish at the Beijing 2022 Olympics. Radamus earned his first World Cup podium in 2024 with a third-place GS finish at Palisades Tahoe and has since established himself as a cornerstone of the U.S. technical group.

Ryan Cochran-Siegle (1992, Burlington, Vermont)

The most decorated Olympian on the team, Cochran-Siegle won super-G silver at Beijing 2022, the only U.S. alpine medal at those Games. He owns multiple World Cup podiums, including a super-G win in Bormio in 2021. Known for his composure and versatility in speed events, he brings leadership and medal-winning experience.

Kyle Negomir (1998, Colorado)

A reliable member of the U.S. speed team, Negomir scored his first World Cup points in super-G at Lake Louise and captured the U.S. national super-G title in 2023. His recent results include an 11th-place downhill finish at Val Gardena and strong super-G performances at Kvitfjell and Wengen.

Ryder Sarchett (2003, Ketchum, Idaho)

At 22, Sarchett is the youngest American man on the roster. He qualified twice on the World Cup this season, finishing 25th at Beaver Creek and a career-best 10th at Val d’Isère. The 2024 Junior World giant slalom champion, he also competed collegiately at the University of Colorado, successfully balancing NCAA and World Cup racing.

Sam Morse (1996, Carrabassett Valley, Maine)

A proven downhill racer, Morse has two career World Cup top-10 finishes in the discipline and reasserted himself this season with a 15th-place super-G result at Wengen. He is the 2017 Junior World downhill champion and enters his first Olympics with deep speed experience.

Bryce Bennett (1992, Tahoe City, California)

A pure downhill specialist, Bennett is a two-time World Cup downhill winner, both victories coming at Val Gardena. His most recent win in 2024, achieved from bib 34, made him the most recent American man to win a World Cup alpine race. Bennett is competing in his third Olympics, with his best prior finish being 16th in downhill at PyeongChang 2018.

Additional Context

The U.S. did not select a dedicated slalom specialist for the men’s team. Radamus has earned World Cup points in slalom, while Sarchett achieved Second-Team All-America honors in the discipline during his collegiate career.
